HealthHub Clinics is seeking an experienced DHA Licensed Optometrist to join our Ophthalmology team at Dubai Festival City.

This role is designed for an optometrist with a strong clinical background in hospital, specialist ophthalmology, or medical eye care settings. 

The successful candidate will work closely with Ophthalmologists in the assessment, diagnosis, investigation, and management of patients presenting with a wide range of ocular conditions.

We are specifically seeking candidates with proven experience in ophthalmology-focused practice rather than primary retail optical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive optometric examinations including refraction, binocular vision assessments, and ocular health evaluations

Conduct advanced diagnostic testing including OCT, visual field analysis, fundus photography, tonometry, and other ophthalmic investigations

Identify and assess ocular pathology and support the diagnosis and management of eye disease

Work collaboratively with Ophthalmologists to support patient assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing care

Monitor patients with chronic ophthalmic conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, retinal disorders, and other ocular diseases

Provide clinical findings and recommendations to support multidisciplinary patient management

Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DHA regulations and organizational standards

Ensure appropriate infection control and patient safety practices are followed at all times

Participate in clinical quality initiatives, audits, and continuous professional development activities

Skills

Essential Requirements

DHA License as an Optometrist

Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry or equivalent recognized qualification

Valid BLS Certification

Minimum 3–5 years’ post-licensure experience in a hospital, ophthalmology clinic, medical center, or specialist eye care setting

Demonstrated experience working directly alongside Ophthalmologists

Experience in the assessment and management of ocular pathology and medical eye conditions

Proficiency in OCT, visual field testing, fundus imaging, tonometry, and ophthalmic diagnostic equipment

Strong knowledge of ophthalmic disease processes and clinical referral pathways

Familiarity with EMR systems and clinical documentation standards

Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting glaucoma, retina, cataract, cornea, oculoplastics, or medical ophthalmology services

Previous experience in a hospital-based ophthalmology department or specialist eye hospital

Arabic language skills are advantageous
